Funky fresh music from Parisian producer Onra - L-O-V-E. The summer sounds are definitely starting to pour in, and this track is no exception. Great arpeggiation, sweet little 80’s sounding synth groove, a nice start to the afternoon here in sunny Southern California.

SBTRKT - Gamelena

Getting back in the studio after a hearty round of touring, hopefully we’ll see some full productions from the crew in the near future.

New mix from Snakehips for Lucid, number 19 in their series, featuring tracks by Snakehips, Hudson Mohawke, Blank & Kytt, Teflon, and more. Turn up your subs.

Lorn - Chhurch

Lorn’s new album ‘At the Dusk’ releases today on Ninja Tune, his first with the London based label, and sophomore effort showcasing his progression in his distinctly dark and heavy style, which while foreboding and menacing at times, shines through his arrangements and melodies seamlessly. I remember catching Lorn for the first time at Coachella in 2010 and completely falling for his attention to detail and connection to his craft, such that is perfectly displayed in the closing track ‘Ghosst(s)’, the blending Lorn’s own vocals, live instrumentation and production reflects the passion which he pours into writing and producing (a trend I see rising every day within the electronic community). I leave you with ‘Chhurch’, which lends its name well to the use of gregorian-esq chanting synths that fill you with the holy spirit… or something like that.

Baauer - Harlem Shake. A little late to the game on this track, but pretty sweet nonetheless.

Garage/Dub mix from our Seoul based Content Manager Monologue (Andrew Kim), kicking out the jams in a sweet hour long session. Free download available from his soundcloud.

Slugabed’s new album ‘Time Team’ out today on Ninja Tune, packing quite the punch into twelve songs and doesn’t disappoint for a moment. ‘Time Team’ is a metaphysical roller coaster that pops in and out of our plain of existence like sub-atomic particles, exposing frolicking future funk tracks like ‘Sex’ (above), ‘Grandma Paints Nice’ and my personal favorite ‘Unicorn Suplex’, that all play out like Herbie Hancock on an a bad acid trip. The rest of the album bridging post dub wobbles and sultry synths together in a melodious march through your sub conscious, as such in ‘Travel Sweets’, which reminds me of futurebeat fellow Rustie at times, but all in all its pure Slugabed. Very happy about how this album turned out, I can’t wait for the remixes to start pouring in.

Keeping in theme with our lady songstresses, new remix from TOKiMONSTA of Eight And A Half - Scissors.
